These human tissues have been obtained from Brain, Spinal Cord, Heart, Aorta, Kidney, Liver, Intestine, Lung, etc. Tissue blocks enable the production of tissue sections, which are valuable for gross morphology/pathology studies. Frozen tissue sections allow researchers to study specific cells, proteins at the cellular level using immunoistochemistry/immunofluorescence assays.
